Job summary

Applied Intuition in Fort Walton Beach, FL seeks a Senior Software Engineer to lead design and development of live, virtual, and constructive simulation solutions for multi-agent autonomy testing and training.

You will design LVC architectures, implement interfaces in C++17+/Python 3.10+, mentor junior engineers, and collaborate across disciplines while contributing to CI/CD and security compliance. Occasional travel ~25% may be required.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree or equivalent in modeling & simulation, CS, or software engineering.
• Experience with DIS, HLA, and DSEEP for LVC federations.
• Knowledge of DDS, ZeroMQ, Kafka, Redis, and protobuf.
• Experience using defense M&S tools like AFSIM, NGTS, and flight simulators.
• 3+ years of hands-on modern C++ development.
• Experience with Docker, Linux, and developer tools (git, VS Code, GitLab, SonarQube, Artifactory/Azure).

Responsibilities

• Develop and integrate live, virtual, and constructive simulation solutions for experimentation.
• Design LVC architectures and write interface code; conduct code reviews.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to CI/CD and security compliance.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams and external vendors on models and integrations.
