Job summary

Applied Intuition is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to lead the design, development, and integration of live, virtual, and constructive simulation for multi-agent autonomy. You will mentor engineers, contribute to CI/CD pipelines, and work across cross-functional teams to deliver robust LVC solutions.

You will develop performant C++/Python interfaces, participate in security compliance, and travel ~25% to client sites and internal offices.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree or equivalent in modeling & simulation, CS, or software engineering.
• Experience with DIS, HLA, and DSEEP to build LVC federations.
• Knowledge of DDS, ZeroMQ, Kafka, Redis, and protobuf.
• Experience with defense M&S tools such as AFSIM, NGTS, and flight simulators.
• 3+ years of hands-on experience developing performant modern C++ (2017+).
• Experience with Docker, Linux-based OS, and development tools (git, VS Code, GitLab, SonarQube, Artifactory or Azure Container Registry).

Responsibilities

• Lead the design, development, and integration of live, virtual, constructive simulation solutions for experimentation, testing, and training of multi-agent autonomy software.
• Mentor junior engineers and provide technical leadership.
• Write, test, and debug adapters, translators, and complex interfaces in C++ and Python.
• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and security compliance across projects.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate requirements into robust technical solutions.
