Job summary

Applied Intuition is seeking a Senior LVC Simulation Integration Engineer to lead the design and development of live, virtual, and constructive simulation solutions for multi-agent autonomy. You will document architectures, implement interfaces, and mentor engineers while contributing to CI/CD and security practices.

The role requires strong C++ (2017+), Python, and experience with defense M&S tools, Docker, Linux, and modern development workflows.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree or equivalent in modeling & simulation, computer science, or software engineering.
• Experience using simulation interoperability standards such as DIS, HLA, and DSEEP to build LVC federations.
• Knowledge of communication protocols and serialization mechanisms such as DDS, ZeroMQ, Kafka, Redis, and protobuf.
• Experience configuring, integrating, extending, and using defense M&S tools such as AFSIM, NGTS, and flight simulators.
• 3+ years of hands-on experience developing performant modern C++ (2017+).
• Experience developing in Docker and containerized environments, on Linux-based OSes, using git, VS Code, GitLab, SonarQube, and Artifactory/Azure Container Registry.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design, development, and improvement of integrated live/virtual/constructive simulation solutions for experimentation, testing, and training of multi-agent autonomy software.
• Design and document LVC architectures and create simulation scenarios.
• Write interface code, conduct code reviews, and resolve integration roadblocks.
• Mentor junior engineers and provide technical leadership across cross-functional teams.
• Develop code in C++ and Python for adapters and complex interfaces; support CI/CD and security compliance.
