Job summary

Heron Power Inc. in Scotts Valley, CA, seeks an electronics design engineer to architect and integrate LV electrical systems for high-performance power converters, guiding the project from concept through production.

You will own the hardware lifecycle, define cabinet-level architecture, select LV components, and create schematics and harness documentation while collaborating with firmware and mechanical teams to meet EMC, safety, and manufacturing goals.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years of LV design experience for cabinet-level systems.
• Experience with LV components integration (relays, fuses, terminal blocks).
• Experience with harness design and wiring diagrams.

Responsibilities

• Own the full hardware development lifecycle from requirements to manufacturing support.
• Define cabinet-based LV architecture including power distribution and signal routing.
• Select LV components to meet system reliability targets.
• Create schematics, system block diagrams, and harness documentation.
• Ensure interface integrity across PCBs, sensors, actuators, and buses.
• Collaborate with mechanical and firmware teams for EMI/EMC performance.
• Support prototype validation, DV/T, and production bring-up.
• Ensure UL/IEC safety compliance for low voltage systems.
