Job summary

Heron Power Inc. is seeking an experienced Technical Program Manager in Scotts Valley, CA to own the technical execution of the next-generation power conversion platform from architecture through manufacturing launch.

You will collaborate with power electronics, firmware, systems, test, and reliability teams, translating architectural intent into actionable plans, surfacing risks early, and driving cross-functional alignment for a no-surprises product delivery.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
  • 5+ years leading multidisciplinary engineering programs, ideally involving power electronics, embedded firmware, or tightly coupled hardware-software systems.
  • Strong technical foundation in power electronics systems and system-level tradeoffs.
  • Experience working with firmware/software teams, control loops, timing constraints, and hardware-software interfaces.
  • Experience driving programs from concept through validation and manufacturing launch.

Responsibilities

  • Own end-to-end technical execution of the product launch, translating system-level goals into milestones across concept, architecture, validation, and launch.
  • Coordinate hardware, firmware, and systems integration roadmaps and manage risks at interfaces.
  • Lead program planning across hardware design, embedded firmware, controls, test, reliability, and manufacturing with clear plan of record.
  • Define product requirements, validation strategies, and decision gates with cross-team alignment.
  • Facilitate design reviews and readiness reviews to surface real risks.
  • Own engineering BOM strategy and NPI readiness with supply chain support.
  • Establish and track DFMEA-driven risk management across design, firmware, and manufacturing.
  • Drive a no-surprises culture and raise execution discipline without slowing innovation.
