Job summary

Heron Power in Scotts Valley, CA is seeking a Staff Engineering Program Manager to own the execution of the product roadmap from architecture through manufacturing launch. This hands-on role requires deep understanding of power electronics, firmware interfaces, and systems integration.

You will coordinate across hardware, software, test, and supply chain to surface risks early, drive clear decisions, and maintain a no-surprises culture while accelerating execution in a startup environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (Power Electronics preferred).
• 5+ years leading multidisciplinary engineering programs.
• Experience taking programs from concept to manufacturing launch.
• Strong knowledge of DFMEA and hardware validation.
• Ability to navigate fast-moving startup environments.
• Excellent cross-functional communication and influence.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end program integration from concept to launch.
• Coordinate power electronics, firmware, and systems teams.
• Lead planning across hardware, firmware, tests, and manufacturing.
• Track product requirements and validation strategies.
• Facilitate design and readiness reviews.
• Maintain DFMEA-driven risk management and no-surprises culture.
• Drive execution discipline and velocity across disciplines.
