Job summary

Blue Origin in Washington state is seeking a senior software engineer to join the Lunar Permanence team. You will develop and maintain the software infrastructure for the VTB and spaceflight systems, collaborating with hardware and software engineers to ensure safety, reliability, and performance.

You will deploy distributed production systems, work across cloud and physical compute, and own core software components from development through deployment and support, in a fast-paced spaceflight

Qualifications

B.S. in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or related technical discipline.
8+ years of relevant experience.
Experience deploying production distributed systems across cloud and on-prem environments.
Strong C/C++ and Python development skills.
Solid understanding of IP networking and hardware drivers.
Experience with CI/CD pipelines (GitLab, Jenkins).

Responsibilities

Support VTB SW infrastructure design and development.
Collaborate with stakeholders to design applications meeting requirements.
Support VTB integration of avionics, flight, and ground software.
Diagnose and fix software issues across installation, deployment, and runtime.
