Job summary

Blue Origin LLC is seeking a senior software engineer to support the Lunar MK1 Vehicle Test Bed software infrastructure. You will work with avionics, flight software and ground software teams to ensure correctness and performance of spaceflight systems.

8+ years of relevant experience, hands-on with distributed systems, and proficiency in C/C++ and Python are expected. The role requires U.S. work authorization and a strong emphasis on safety and reliability.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or related technical discipline.
• 8+ years of relevant experience deploying production distributed systems.
• Experience with Ansible, Terraform, GitLab, Docker and Kubernetes.
• Strong C/C++ and Python development skills.
• IP networking concepts and communications protocols.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines (GitLab, Jenkins).
• U.S. citizen or eligible to work in the U.S.
• Hands-on mindset across development, review, deployment and support.

Responsibilities

• Support the design and development of the VTB SW infrastructure.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and design solutions.
• Integrate avionics, flight software and ground software for VTB.
• Diagnose and fix software problems across installation, deployment, configuration and client/server sides.
