Job summary

Blue Origin in Seattle, WA is seeking a seasoned GN&C software engineer to advance multi-vehicle simulations for lunar transport systems. You will build and integrate models using C/C++, Rust, and Simulink, and validate them across software-in-the-loop and hardware-in-the-loop environments.

You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to define subsystem interfaces, performance measures and ensure technical rigor and safety in spaceflight missions.

Qualifications

• BS degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Physics, Applied Mathematics, or Computer Science.
• 5+ years of software development and debugging skills, particularly in C/C++, Rust, and Simulink.
• Experience modeling GN&C components and analyzing performance via simulation, testing, or analytical methods.
• Strong fundamentals in rigid body dynamics, fluid mechanics, and physics-based models.
• Hands-on experience with testing frameworks and CI pipelines such as Gitlab.
• Experience with configuration management.
• Must be a U.S. citizen or national or legal resident as specified.

Responsibilities

• Actively involved in developing tools to design, build, deploy and support our simulation infrastructure.
• Develop and integrate multidisciplinary models for a multi-vehicle simulation using C/C++, Rust, Simulink, and NASA’s TRICK framework.
• Collaboratively deliver simulations to customers to inform decisions and ensure requirements are met.
• Interact with engineers across disciplines to assist with and ensure validation of models.
