Job summary

Hyatt Hotels Corporation is seeking a Senior Technical Business Analyst/Data Architect to convert Loyalty business needs into detailed backend requirements. You will bridge Loyalty Operations, stakeholders, engineering, QA and vendors, analyzing API integrations and data flows to ensure accurate loyalty transactions.

The role requires hands-on API, data mapping and modeling skills, plus collaboration across teams for testing and defect resolution.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated progression as a technical business analyst, systems analyst, data architect or related technology role.
• Strong experience analyzing and documenting detailed business, functional and technical requirements.
• Hands-on understanding of APIs, integration patterns, data mapping, data modeling, message flows and system dependencies.
• Experience supporting software engineering and QA teams through design clarification, test planning, defect analysis and implementation.
• Experience troubleshooting production issues across multiple systems and coordinating with operations, engineering and external technology partners.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.

Responsibilities

• Translate high-level loyalty business requirements into detailed functional and technical requirements for engineering and QA teams.
• Analyze and document current and future workflows, business rules, use cases, data elements, validations, error handling and integration dependencies.
• Define and maintain data mappings, interface specifications, API requirements, message flows and lineage across Hyatt systems and the vendor-managed Loyalty Management System.
• Facilitate requirements workshops with Loyalty Operations, business SMEs, engineering, architecture, QA, product management and vendor partners; document decisions and open questions.
• Support engineering and QA execution by clarifying requirements, reviewing solution designs, defining test scenarios and acceptance criteria, and helping assess defects and change impacts.
• Coordinate with Loyalty Operations and technical teams when production issues affect member earning or redemption, including triage, impact analysis, root-cause investigation and follow-through on corrective actions.
