Job summary

Hyatt Corporate in Chicago is seeking a Senior Technical Business Analyst/Data Architect to translate loyalty business needs into detailed backend requirements for engineering and QA. You will bridge Loyalty Operations, stakeholders, and vendor teams, defining data mappings and API dependencies for the Loyalty Management System.

You will analyze workflows, model data, document interfaces, and lead workshops while supporting testing and defect resolution to ensure accurate loyalty transactions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
• Strong ability to translate business needs into technical requirements.
• Hands-on understanding of APIs, data mapping, and data modeling.
• Experience supporting engineering and QA teams through design and testing.

Responsibilities

• Translate high-level loyalty business requirements into detailed functional and technical requirements for engineering and QA teams.
• Analyze and document workflows, business rules use cases, data elements, validations, error handling and integration dependencies.
• Define data mappings, interface specifications, API requirements, message flows and lineage across Hyatt systems and the vendor-managed Loyalty Management System.
• Facilitate requirements workshops with Loyalty Operations, business SMEs, engineering, architecture, QA, product management and vendor partners; document decisions and open questions.
• Support engineering and QA execution by clarifying requirements, reviewing solution designs, defining test scenarios and acceptance criteria, and helping assess defects and change impacts.
• Coordinate with Loyalty Operations and technical teams when production issues affect member earning or redemption, including triage, impact analysis, root-cause investigation and follow-through on corrective actions.
