Job summary

Peabody Energy, Inc. is seeking a Senior Manager Longwall Production for the Shoal Creek Mine in Alabama. The role leads the longwall department, drives production targets, and partners with Safety to ensure safe, compliant operations.

Strong leadership and extensive longwall experience are essential for success at this site. The position requires coordinating maintenance planning, budgets, and cross-department collaboration to optimize performance while maintaining safety standards and company

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years experience with longwalls.
• Proven ability to lead both hourly and salaried employees.
• Strong knowledge of federal and state mining regulations.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all aspects of the longwall department and meet targets.
• Collaborate with Safety to enforce SAWOL across longwall crews.
• Develop detailed operational plans for direct reports.
• Manage department budgets and scheduling to optimize performance and costs.
• Coordinate rebuilds/repairs of longwall equipment with vendors.
• Ensure alignment with the mine plan and company goals.
