Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a seasoned Transportation and Logistics leader to direct the daily operations of the logistics function in a fast-paced environment. You will partner with sales, customer service, and external carriers to meet customer needs while driving efficiency and profitability.

The ideal candidate brings 10+ years in logistics management, a Bachelor's in a related field, and strong analytical skills to optimize processes, reduce costs, and ensure compliance with regulations.

Qualifications

Minimum 10 years of experience in transportation and logistics management.
Bachelor's degree in transportation and logistics, supply chain management, or related field preferred.
Fluent in English, oral and written.
Experience with transportation management software (TMS) preferred.
Certification in transportation and logistics preferred (CTP or CLP).

Responsibilities

Oversee the transportation and logistics department's daily operations.
Coordinate with internal departments, including sales and customer service, to meet customer needs.
Develop and implement strategies to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and increase profitability.
Collaborate with carriers, suppliers, and other external partners.
Monitor performance metrics and implement corrective actions.
Conduct regular audits for compliance with company policies and regulations.
Provide timely and accurate reports to management.
Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
