Job summary

DSV is seeking an Operations Manager in Port Reading, NJ to supervise inbound/outbound activities, labor planning, and customer communication. You will manage scheduling, space utilization, and staffing to align with service and cost goals.

You will lead training, performance evaluations, and daily operations, while ensuring safety, quality and client KPI adherence. A forklift certification and warehouse experience are required.

Qualifications

• Must have a High School diploma or GED.
• 3 years' experience working in a logistics/distribution/relevant environment.
• 1 year experience in a supervisory role.
• Satisfactory completion of a forklift training program.

Responsibilities

• Supervise staff and plan daily work to meet productivity and service goals.
• Conduct staff meetings and report critical issues to senior management and clients.
• Manage labor scheduling, space utilization, equipment, and manpower to optimize operations.
• Hire, train, and evaluate staff; develop programs for hiring, training and professional development.
• Ensure adherence to SOPs and safety, quality, and client KPIs.
