Job summary

DSV - Global Transport and Logistics is seeking an Operations Manager to lead day-to-day warehousing, receiving, and shipping activities at the Northlake facility. You will plan inbound/outbound volume, optimize space, manage staff performance, and ensure cost-effective operations in alignment with client SLAs.

Responsibilities include implementing SOPs, driving continuous improvement, and maintaining safety and quality standards across the site.

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or GED.
• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• 7 years' experience in logistics/distribution.
• 5 years' supervisory experience.
• Ability to work in unregulated warehouse temperatures.

Responsibilities

• Develop systems and procedures for safe, profitable operations.
• Meet productivity, service goals and client KPIs.
• Lead continuous improvement and cost-saving initiatives.
• Manage HR activities including hiring, training, and performance reviews.
• Oversee daily work schedules and space planning.
• Coordinate with customer and supplier visits and meetings.
• Ensure safety, SOP adherence, and quality standards.
