Job summary

DSV – Global Transport and Logistics is seeking an Operations Manager to lead day-to-day site operations, including warehousing, receiving, and shipping, while aligning with service and cost objectives. You will plan inbound/outbound volume, manage space, and supervise staff to ensure efficient, safe operations.

The role requires 7 years in logistics with 5 years in supervision, strong leadership, and a focus on KPIs, safety, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

Must have a high school diploma or GED.
Bachelor’s degree is preferred.
7 years’ experience working in a logistics/distribution environment.
5 years’ experience in a supervisory role.
Must be able to work in unregulated temperatures within the warehouse during warmer and colder months.

Responsibilities

Develops systems and procedures for managing operations, equipment, and products in a safe and profitable manner per company policies.
Manages operations to meet prescribed productivity and service goals and client SLAs.
Drives continuous improvement and cost-saving initiatives across operations.
Ensures KPI targets and quality system requirements are met.
Leads training, performance appraisals, and HR-related activities.
Maintains strong communication with senior management and clients.
