Job summary

Penske Logistics in Siloam Springs, AR is seeking an Operations Leader to guide hourly associates in daily tasks, driver deliveries, loading/unloading, and cross docking. You will monitor performance, enforce standards, and support safety and continuous improvement initiatives.

Schedule: Monday–Friday 7AM–4PM with Sunday remote availability for driver departures. Experience in logistics, DOT regulations, and strong communication is required; bachelor's degree preferred.

Qualifications

• 2-4 years related functional experience
• High School Diploma or equivalent required
• Bachelor's Degree preferred
• Strong written/oral communication and organizational skills
• Advanced computer skills including Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint
• Regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function
• Willingness to travel, work the required schedule, location, background check and drug screening required

Responsibilities

• Communicate performance standards that are specific and measurable, interview hourly associates and provide recommendations for hire, monitor attendance, productivity, and other performance markers and provide counseling and/or recognition to associates as needed.
• Supervise logistics operations including customer service, freight loading and unloading, dispatch and proper documentation and procedure control, evaluate and recommend changes in work methods to increase productivity, assist in training, provide relief coverage, and ensure operational compliance.
• Ensure compliance with financial policies and procedures such as inventory accuracy, returns, damages, and manage overtime to meet productivity targets.
• Ensure day-to-day management aligns with safety strategy, provide training and direction to ensure safe performance, and comply with regulatory policies.
• Understand customer goals, drive continuous improvement, and identify areas for efficiency improvements.
