Job summary

Estes Express Lines is seeking an Operations Manager to lead a Service Center team, supervising 450+ employees across multiple shifts. You will ensure safe, on-time freight movement and build strong relationships with customers.

This role requires hands-on leadership, hiring and training, enforcing safety rules and company policies, coordinating drivers and routes, and meeting KPI targets while managing costs. A willingness to work 50 hours per week, including nights and weekends, is essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years supervisory experience preferred.
• Knowledge of all aspects of an LTL service center preferred.
• Must pass pre-employment drug screen and background check.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Lead, guide and direct employees to include setting goals, monitoring performance, providing coaching, counseling and development.
• Manage all Service Center operations in the absence of the Service Center Manager.
• Ensure timely pickup and delivery of freight and verify freight for all billing.
• Direct investigations into causes of customer complaints and recommend solutions.
• Assist with the coordination of drivers and assign trucks and delivery routes for pickup and delivery of freight.
