Job summary

Penske Logistics in Minneapolis is seeking an Operations Supervisor to provide leadership for hourly staff, coordinate driver deliveries, loading/unloading, cross docking and customer service while aligning with cost objectives.

You will review routes, manage schedules, participate in hiring, and ensure quality records, safety and compliance. The role offers day shift Monday–Friday 7:00 am to 4:30 pm and a salary range of $61,000–$83,400 annually with bonus eligibility.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Bachelor's Degree preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication and organizational skills required.
• Advanced computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Communicate performance standards that are specific and measurable; interview hourly associates and provide hire recommendations; monitor attendance, productivity and performance; provide counseling or recognition as needed.
• Supervise logistics operations including customer service, freight loading and unloading, dispatch and proper documentation and procedure control; evaluate and implement changes to increase productivity; assist in new associate training; provide relief coverage when needed; maintain operating system knowledge for compliance and accurate reporting.
