Job summary

Ryder is hiring a Senior Manager Logistics for our Distribution Center leadership in Corbin, KY or Louisville, KY. This onsite role leads warehousing and transportation solutions within the Supply Chain Solutions division, directing supervisors and interfacing with the customer regularly.

The position emphasizes strategic planning, LEAN initiative execution, and strong people leadership. Expect salary between $90,000 and $94,000 plus a bonus potential and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Five (5) years or more relevant experience in supply chain, logistics, warehouse or industry related field required.
• Five (5) years or more managing, leading and developing direct reports required.
• Three (3) years or more Profit & Loss responsibility preferred.
• One (1) year or more customer interaction preferred.

Responsibilities

• Interface directly with the customer to ensure issues are resolved in a timely manner while maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction.
• Strategic operational planning and execution for the operation.
• Identify and/or solve operational issues with the account by implementing continuous improvement and LEAN initiatives.
• Hire, supervise, develop and manage performance for employees and maintain a positive employee relations environment at assigned account(s).
• Maintain open and effective communications within the work group(s) and with other work groups within the organization.
