Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. in Corbin, KY (onsite) seeks a Senior Manager Logistics to lead the Distribution Center and supervise staff, ensuring turn-key warehousing and transportation solutions. You will maintain regular contact with customers and drive continuous improvement initiatives.

The role requires strong leadership, extensive experience in supply chain operations, and a commitment to safety and quality. Onsite work at Corbin or Louisville, KY is required, with a base salary and bonus

Qualifications

H.S. diploma/GED required
Bachelor's degree in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain preferred
Master's degree in Business, Logistics, Transportation or related field preferred
Five (5) years or more relevant experience in supply chain, logistics, warehouse or industry related field required
Five (5) years or more managing, leading and developing direct reports required
Three (3) years or more Profit & Loss responsibility preferred
One (1) year or more customer interaction preferred

Responsibilities

Interface with customers to resolve issues promptly while maintaining satisfaction.
Strategic planning and execution for the operation.
Identify and solve issues with Lean/CI to boost productivity.
Hire, supervise, develop, and manage performance; maintain positive employee relations.
Maintain open communications and review data for action.
May manage P&L depending on scope.
Lead safety program and ensure safe operations, inspect equipment.
