Job summary

Ryder Supply Chain Solutions in Phoenix, AZ seeks a Senior Manager Logistics to lead the Distribution Center and manage turnkey warehousing and transportation solutions. You will maintain direct customer interfaces and drive continuous improvement initiatives.

The role requires strong leadership, strategic planning, and the ability to manage safety programs while coordinating with cross-functional teams. A seasoned candidate will oversee performance and foster a productive, compliant work

Qualifications

• H.S. diploma/GED is required.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain preferred.
• Master’s degree in Business, Logistics, Transportation or related field preferred.
• Five+ years relevant experience in supply chain, logistics, warehouse or related field required.
• Five+ years managing, leading and developing direct reports required.
• Three+ years P&L responsibility preferred.
• One+ year customer interaction preferred.

Responsibilities

• Interface directly with the customer to ensure issues are resolved in a timely manner with high customer satisfaction.
• Strategic operational planning and execution for the operation.
• Identify and solve operational issues with LEAN initiatives to strengthen team unity, goals, productivity and results.
• Hire, supervise, develop and manage performance for employees and maintain positive employee relations.
• Maintain open communications within work groups and review data to identify actions.
• May manage profit and loss statements based on complexity and scope.
• Lead a proactive safety program and ensure a safe work environment.

Education

H.S. diploma/GED

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain

Master’s degree in Business, Logistics, Transportation or related field

Five (5) years or more relevant experience in supply chain, logistics, warehouse or industry related field

Five (5) years or more managing, leading and developing direct reports

Three (3) years or more Profit & Loss responsibility

One (1) year or more customer interaction
