Contractor shall provide logistics guidance, management, and documentation development support to include, but not limited to :
- Assists projects to comply with acquisition logistics management and life cycle support requirements.
- Provide system deployment support including knowledge of system support document creation and management.
- Provides management functions for personnel designated to fall under the purview of this position. Offers guidance, direction, and instructions to the assigned personnel.
- Manages the development of acquisitions logistics training, associated documentation, and executes training. Training may be tailored for contractors, government civilians, and military who hold acquisitions logistics and non-acquisition logistics positions.
- Oversees the maintenance and management a repository for all currently required and applicable DoD logistics acquisition documentation, templates, and formats for program office efforts. SecNav Operating Materials and Supplies (OM&S) Reports are an example.
- Knowledge of DMSMS, configuration and data management, supply support, and maintenance and repair technical documentation.
- Ability to coordinate and collaborate with engineering, technical and business stakeholders to solve problems.
- Execute property management activities.
- Manage Product Support Management (PSM) Integrated Product Team (IPT) to coordinate all current and future PSM activities in support of major program events.
- Provide guidance and advice for program office logistics efforts to include document development, support planning, trend analysis, logistics oversight, and program integration. Translate and / or distill all logistical documentation and configuration data into a digital format for enterprise leadership use.
- Populate logistics documentation on appropriate / approved templates with required program information and assist in formatting logistics data into a digital format for enterprise leadership use.
- Assists in the development and execution of product support strategies and product support packages involving planning, coordinating, and evaluating the execution of Integrated Product Support (IPS) for acquisition programs, as well as life cycle sustainment plans (LCSP).
- Provides Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) / production support on acquisition logistics management activities, including development of acquisition logistics documentation and evaluating the regulatory and statutory requirements to develop, field, and transition equipment.
- Develop, review, and edit acquisition logistics plans, procedures, processes, analyses, briefings, and documentation as required to ensure program progression through the acquisition lifecycle and as needed with multiple Program Manager Office (PMO) efforts and / or required by NAVSEA.
- Assist Program Managers (PM) and Assistant Program Managers (APM) with acquisition logistics requirements; ensuring logistical support, and documentation, and configuration management maintain compliance relative to DoD acquisition requirements.
- Assist Program Managers (PM) and Assistant Program Managers (APM) with acquisition logistics funding issues, specifically the TAC funding for movement of materials.
- Attend Program and Project Reviews, IPT meetings, design reviews or other meetings as tasked.
- Develop and maintain an auditable configuration control process, documenting temporary or permanent changes to program / logistics plans, briefings, and documentation configuration. The contractor shall utilize an approved document CM tool to communicate documentation configuration changes to the PM and APMs.
Here’s what you need :
- Must have at least10 years of experience in DoD logistics, with an expert knowledge of required events, analyses, and reviews.
- Desired experience in logistics and project / program management with the Department of the Navy (USN, USMC, Naval Sea Systems Command, Marine Corps Systems Command), DAWIA / DAU professional certification.
- Must have 5 years of project or program management experience.
- Proficient at Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook.
- Note : Required years of experience may be cumulative.
Security Clearance :
- Active Secret clearance – TS / SCI eligible
Education :
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
Work Schedule :
- Remote with occasional in-person meetings at the Washington Navy Yard, D.C.
