Summary

The project manager is a client-facing, project-based resource responsible for the integration, solution engineering, and/or implementation of new business as well as improvement and innovation projects. They engineer DSV capabilities into solutions to meet complex client requirements and ensure high-quality service delivery. The role involves providing EDI implementation leadership and coordinating with Operations, Sales, Account Management, and IT.

Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Support sales to grow revenue and optimize margins by acting as an operational and TMS subject matter expert during solution design and client meetings.
  2. Provide RFI risk and ROI assessments when client requirements are complex.
  3. Engineer client solutions, aligning client needs with DSV's services portfolio.
  4. Serve as a Purchase Order Management expert, providing demos and determining the best solutions.
  5. Manage all client EDI integration projects.
  6. Perform integration UAT testing, coordinating with global and regional IT and the client.
  7. Manage the implementation of client integration projects, coordinating with Sales, IT, and Operations across regions.
  8. Develop SOPs, communicate, and train key stakeholders.
  9. Participate in client business reviews for continuous improvement.
  10. Drive growth through innovation projects, demonstrating differentiation and building client loyalty.
  11. Maintain direct customer contact throughout project lifecycle.
  12. Require a minimum of 5 years’ experience in the freight forwarding industry, including 3 years’ operational experience.
  13. Experience managing or coordinating EDI processes with partners, vendors, or customers.
  14. At least 3 years’ experience in a role involving extensive senior-level client interaction.
  15. Or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.

Basic Required Qualifications

  • Prior use of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Visio, PowerPoint)
  • Strong command of the English language, both written and verbal
  • Experience with EDI standards, platforms, and business processes
  • Understanding of supply chain management and logistics industry
  • Knowledge of logistics services including order management, customs brokerage, cost optimization, warehousing, and transport management
  • Strong analytical, math, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to lead through influence and motivate a diverse team at all levels

Preferred Qualifications

  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, Visio, and PowerPoint
  • Knowledge of Project Management and Quality methodologies
  • Knowledge of CargoWise TMS
  • Competencies in business acumen, interpersonal skills, results-driven mindset, adaptability, integrity, customer passion, and analytical skills

Compensation for this role is estimated at $110,000 - $125,000 annually, based on experience, location, and skills.
