Job summary

IFA North America LLC in Summerville, SC is seeking an experienced Industrial Engineer to analyze and implement improvements across the supply chain, from inbound to outbound capacities, applying Lean Manufacturing to optimize material flow and reduce costs.

The role focuses on designing and communicating material flow specifications, maintaining PFEP and ERP records, and developing KPIs to drive productivity while supporting 5S, Kanban, Kaizen and other lean practices.

Qualifications

Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering is required.
Five or more years in a manufacturing/industrial engineering environment.
Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles and methodologies.
Experience delivering raw materials from an off-site warehouse to a production facility.
Experience with SAP.
Familiarity with AIAG Standards.

Responsibilities

Improve material flow to reduce cycle times and costs.
Maintain PFEP data and records in database and ERP system.
Establish and communicate material flow specifications.
Investigate material flow issues and coordinate resolution.
Develop KPIs to measure material flow to production and external supply chain.
Provide cost estimates for material handling for new programs.
Support lean practices such as 5S, Kanban, Kaizen, visual management, 1-piece flow.
