Job summary

Great Dane LLC in Savannah, GA seeks a Lean Supply Chain Engineer to drive operational excellence across its manufacturing network through Lean principles and supply chain engineering. You will lead initiatives on material flow, inventory optimization, and facility design to improve safety, quality, delivery, and cost.

The role requires 5+ years in related fields, PFEP and pull system experience, and strong leadership in cross-functional teams. Travel is 50%+.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, or related technical field required; Master's, MBA, Lean/Six Sigma certs preferred.
5+ years in Supply Chain/Industrial/Manufacturing Engineering or related fields.
Experience implementing PFEP, pull systems, inventory optimization, and Lean principles.
Led RIWs, VSM events, PDCA initiatives, and cross-functional improvement projects.
Experience with facility expansions (brownfield/greenfield) preferred.
Strong leadership, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and AutoCAD; ProPlanner experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Evaluate and optimize end-to-end supply chain, warehousing, and material flow across manufacturing operations.
Develop and maintain enterprise standards for material flow, inventory management, packaging, and PFEP.
Design and implement pull systems, replenishment strategies, and inventory optimization initiatives to improve productivity and working capital.
Lead Rapid Improvement Workshops (RIWs) and Value Stream Mapping events to eliminate waste and improve performance.
Develop and implement warehouse, material handling, automation, and facility layout solutions for brownfield and greenfield projects.
Analyze operational data and KPI trends to identify improvement opportunities and support data-driven decisions.
Conduct ROI analyses and develop business cases for capital investments and supply chain projects.
Support implementation and standardization of supply chain systems and processes.
Lead cross-functional project teams and influence stakeholders to sustain improvements.
