Qualifications

• Typically requires BS/BA in a related discipline. Generally 7+ years of experience in a related field.
• May require certification. Advanced degree may offset less experience in some disciplines.

Responsibilities

• Eliminates inter-branch freight expenses by optimizing truck space and back-hauling vendor purchase orders to reduce LTL and small package costs.
• Improves delivery services by reducing fleet expenses, increasing revenue per vehicle, lowering travel distance, and cutting labor, fuel and toll costs.
• Manages routing queue by customer orders; reviews DOT weight and Hazmat requirements for each vehicle during routing.
• Uses Descartes and Geotab platforms to enable optimized route planning, dispatching, GPS tracking, mobile apps, and fleet/driver management.
• Creates plans to ensure timely deliveries and SLA adherence by analyzing tickets, inventory, and offload requests to assign to branches.
• Captures and analyzes inventory at each branch to determine proper product location for distribution channels.
• Coordinates with branches on vehicle maintenance and current lease agreements.
• Communicates with supervisors on driver/vehicle credentials to schedule deliveries at union and non-union sites.
