Job summary

White Cap is seeking a results-driven Logistics professional responsible for establishing and maintaining performance metrics and cost management for delivery services and fleet management. You will ensure milestones align with business satisfaction and service level agreements.

The role focuses on reducing freight costs, optimizing routing, and coordinating with branches on maintenance and credentials while leveraging Descartes and Geotab platforms to enable efficient, on-time deliveries.

Qualifications

• Typically requires BS/BA in a related discipline and 7+ years of experience.
• Certification may be required; advanced degree may offset less experience.

Responsibilities

• Eliminate inter-branch freight expenses and drive down costs while improving lead times.
• Improve delivery services by reducing fleet expenses and labor, fuel, and toll costs.
• Manage routing and review DOT weight and Hazmat requirements for each vehicle.
• Use Descartes and Geotab to optimize route planning, dispatch, and GPS tracking.
• Plan deliveries to meet service level agreements and assign tickets to branches.
• Capture and analyze inventory to determine distribution location.
• Coordinate vehicle maintenance and lease agreements with branches.
• Communicate with supervisors on driver/vehicle credentials to schedule deliveries.
