Job summary

United Rentals is seeking a Logistics Manager to lead a team responsible for optimizing equipment logistics, fleet allocation and resource use across the metro area. You will drive world‑class delivery and cost-efficient logistics while advancing customer and employee satisfaction and growth.

Qualifications

10+ years of extensive logistics and leadership experience.
Understanding of applicable federal/state and local regulations and record keeping requirements.
Strong knowledge of logistics accounting, P&L and Rental Flow.
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and RentalMan.

Responsibilities

Manage logistics team, provide leadership and supervision needed to deliver World-Class service to internal and external customers.
Motivate, coach and train dispatchers and drivers to meet commitments and follow standard processes.
Maintain productive labor relations with union steward and comply with labor agreements.
Responsible for performance management of direct staff and managers.
Recruit, hire, develop and retain top talent across diverse candidates as needed.
Promote a culture of safety and discipline through leadership and accountability.
Own and lead logistics execution throughout the metro area.
Ensure proper staffing of drivers and dispatchers and implement staffing optimization strategies.
Other duties assigned as needed.
