Job summary

CLA is seeking a Controller with logistics industry experience to join the CAAS (Client Accounting & Advisory Services) practice in Minneapolis, MN. You will develop internal controls, oversee budgeting and cash management, and prepare financial statements while advising management on short- and long-term financial objectives.

Requirements include a Bachelor's degree in accounting/finance (CPA preferred) and 7 years of relevant accounting experience, with proficiency in Excel, QuickBooks and ERP

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree is required or equivalent combination of experience and education accepted
• CPA certification preferred but not required
• 7+ years of accounting/financial experience; logistics industry experience highly preferred

Responsibilities

• Develop internal control policies and procedures for budgeting, cash, credit and accounting
• Coordinate financial planning, budgeting, procurements and investments
• Prepare financial statements and regulatory reports
• Advise management on financial objectives and actions
• Communicate with boards, bankers and investors; prepare board materials as needed
