Job summary

CliftonLarsonAllen (CLA) is seeking a Controller with logistics industry experience to join our CAAS practice in either Milwaukee, WI or Minneapolis, MN. You will develop internal control policies, direct budgeting and cash management, and prepare financial statements for clients in a client service 1:1 setup.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree and 7 years of relevant accounting experience; CPA is preferred but not required.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree is required; combination of experience may be accepted.
7 years of relevant accounting/financial experience; logistics industry preferred.
CPA certification preferred but not required.
QuickBooks experience highly preferred.
Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook.

Responsibilities

Develop internal control policies, guidelines, and procedures for budgeting, cash/credit management and accounting.
Coordinate financial planning, budgeting, procurements, or investments and prepare financial information.
Prepare and/or direct preparation of financial statements and reports for regulatory agencies.
Evaluate funding needs and investment of surpluses and provide recommendations.
Monitor ratio, KPIs and financial staff performance; implement improvements.
Advise management on short- and long-term financial objectives and actions.
Communicate with boards, bankers, and investors; prepare for board presentations.
