About the Role

Our client, a leading international logistics provider, is seeking a highly analytical and experienced Senior Logistics Analyst to join their remote team, providing critical support to operations in Randburg, Gauteng . This role involves deep dives into logistics data, identifying trends, optimizing processes, and developing data-driven strategies to improve efficiency and reduce costs across the supply chain. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional quantitative skills and a proven ability to translate complex data into actionable insights. This is a fully remote position, offering a unique opportunity to contribute to a major logistics player from anywhere, while supporting key functions in the Randburg, Gauteng region.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze logistics data to identify inefficiencies, cost-saving opportunities, and performance improvements.
• Develop and maintain dashboards and reports to track key logistics metrics (KPIs).
• Model and forecast demand, capacity, and costs within the supply chain.
• Collaborate with operations, procurement, and sales teams to implement strategic improvements.
• Design and evaluate new logistics processes and network designs.
• Conduct root cause analysis for operational issues and recommend solutions.
• Stay abreast of industry trends and best practices in logistics and supply chain analytics.
• Support the implementation and utilization of logistics software and technologies.
• Prepare presentations and communicate findings and recommendations to stakeholders.
• Mentor junior analysts and contribute to the development of the analytics team.

Requirements

• Master's degree or PhD in Operations Research, Statistics, Economics, Logistics, or a quantitative field.
• Minimum of 6 years of experience in logistics analysis or supply chain analytics.
• Advanced proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., SQL, Python, R) and BI platforms (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
• Strong understanding of logistics and supply chain principles.
