Job summary

CGL Facility Management, LLC is seeking a skilled Locksmith to service and repair locks, electronic access equipment and related hardware across commercial facilities. You will handle key systems, lock maintenance, and emergency responses while ensuring security and compliance with OSHA standards.

The role requires reading electrical schematics, strong communication, and the ability to document work in CMMS. A valid background check and applicable licenses are expected.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 4-6 years locksmith or maintenance experience in commercial environments required.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Must be able to read and interpret electrical schematics.
• Demonstrates strong organizational skills in a fast-paced environment.
• Completes documentation in a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS).
• Must be a team player with a strong work ethic and customer service focus.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
• Hold licenses/certifications as required by local, state and federal regulations.
• Must pass pre-employment drug test and criminal background check.

Responsibilities

• Performs preventative and/or corrective maintenance on locks, locking controls, doors, and related equipment per work orders or supervisor direction.
• Installs, repairs and maintains pneumatic locking systems, door position sensors, electro-mechanical panic devices and openers.
• Installs, repairs, and maintains electromagnetic latching systems; wires and installs card readers and scanning devices.
• Establishes key lock and access systems to permit controlled building access and security.
• Cleans, lubricates, and adjusts locks; checks keys and locks for wear and replaces as needed.
• Responds to emergency requests regarding problems with building locking devices within standards.
• Completes administrative tasks including work order documentation and data entry into CMMS.
• Maintains records and logs; communicates task timelines to the Facility Manager and Supervisor.
• Keeps abreast of locksmith technologies and trends; follows tool control and OSHA guidelines.
• Pursues continuing education related to certifications based on current technologies.
