Job summary

WesBanco, Inc. seeks an experienced Loan Review Analyst to assist in evaluating the quality of the loan portfolio, documentation adequacy, and the effectiveness of loan administration under the Director of Loan Review. You will help communicate results verbally and in writing.

The role requires knowledge of commercial and consumer lending, banking laws, and risk assessment to support identification of credit, legal, and strategic risks. Strong analytical and reporting skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business-related field required; Accounting or Finance major preferred.
• Minimum 3 years of experience as a Federal Bank Examiner, Loan Review or Credit Analysis.
• BAI Loan Review Certification or RMA Credit Risk Certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide assistance for independent and objective evaluation of loan portfolio quality and loan documentation adequacy.
• Assist with effective communication of review results, both verbally and in writing.
• Assist with identification and assessment of credit, legal and strategic risks arising from lending activities.
• Assess collectability of extensions of credit through financial, collateral, and payment history reviews.
• Assign risk grades reflecting relative risk of default or loss and recommend corrective actions.
• Evaluate adequacy of loan and collateral documentation and loan administration effectiveness.
• Review commercial credits of all types and lead exit meetings for unit reviews.
