Responsibilities

• Manage and process a full pipeline of residential mortgage files in a broker environment.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for borrowers with professional, proactive communication.
• Coordinate with underwriters, title companies, appraisers, and wholesale lender partners to drive files to close.
• Review loan applications, income documentation, credit, and asset docs for completeness and accuracy.
• Prepare and submit clean, complete loan packages to lenders with minimal conditions.
• Track conditions, manage timelines, and keep all parties aligned and informed.
• Maintain accurate file status and notes in the LOS.

We are a tight-knit, high-performing mortgage brokerage team based in Garden City, NY looking for an elite-level Senior Loan Processor to join our crew. You’ll own the processing pipeline from approval to clear-to-close, serve as a key point of contact for borrowers, and work hand-in-hand with our loan officers and broker partners. WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Manage and process a full pipeline of residential mortgage files in a broker environment
• Serve as the primary point of contact for borrowers — professional, proactive, and clear communication throughout the loan lifecycle
• Coordinate with underwriters, title companies, appraisers, and wholesale lender partners to drive files to close
• Review loan applications, income documentation, credit, and asset docs for completeness and accuracy
• Prepare and submit clean, complete loan packages to lenders — minimal conditions, maximum speed
• Track conditions, manage timelines, and keep all parties aligned and informed
• Maintain accurate file status and notes within the loan origination system
• Contribute to a positive, supportive team culture — we win together

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

• 5–7+ years of mortgage processing experience, specifically within a broker shop — this is a firm requirement
• Deep knowledge of conventional, FHA, VA, and non-QM loan products across multiple wholesale lenders
• Exceptional borrower-facing communication skills — calm, confident, and consultative
• Tech-savvy: highly proficient with LOS/POS platforms (Arive/Salesforce), Outlook, and standard mortgage tools
• Meticulous attention to detail — you spot issues before they become problems
• Self-motivated with strong time management; you own your pipeline
