Job summary

Paycom seeks a Dispatch Coordinator to supervise owner operators, drivers, and carriers for freight delivery. You will schedule loads, coordinate appointments, and ensure timely movement of outbound and inbound freight while maintaining regulatory compliance.

The role requires strong organization, communication, and problem-solving skills within a fast-paced environment. You will prepare daily reports, assist with routing, and stay aligned with dispatchers to optimize backhaul integration.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent; 2–3 years of related experience.
• Familiarity with distribution and transportation industry concepts.
• Experience using computerized routing software and related tools.
• Strong written and verbal communication; ability to multitask efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Direct and coordinate activities of drivers and carriers for freight delivery.
• Schedule load tendering times, appointments, and backhauls with customers.
• Monitor hours-of-service compliance and plan efficient load movement.
• Prepare dispatch sheets and daily load planner reports for shifts.
• Communicate load status and issues to drivers, customers, and dispatchers.
• Maintain accurate records and respond professionally to inquiries.
