Job summary

Careerscape is recruiting on behalf of a growing transportation and logistics company in the Phoenix area for a Dispatch Coordinator to keep our fleet moving safely and on schedule. You will juggle driver calls, real-time load tracking, and problem-solving to minimize delays.

Ideal candidates are detail-oriented, organized, and calm under pressure, with 2+ years in dispatch or logistics, knowledge of DOT regulations, and experience with fleet management software.

Qualifications

• Two or more years of experience in dispatch, logistics, or transportation coordination.
• Strong knowledge of DOT regulations and hours of service rules.
• Proficiency with dispatch and fleet management software.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily dispatch schedules for drivers and delivery routes
• Communicate with drivers throughout their shifts to relay updates and resolve issues
• Track shipments in real time and update customers on delivery status
• Optimize routes to reduce fuel costs and improve on time delivery
• Maintain accurate records of driver hours, mileage, and load assignments
• Respond quickly to service disruptions such as breakdowns or delays
• Coordinate with warehouse and logistics staff to ensure timely loading and unloading
• Ensure compliance with DOT regulations and company safety policies
• Prepare daily dispatch reports for management review
• Build strong working relationships with drivers, vendors, and customers

This is a great opportunity for a detail oriented, fast thinking professional who enjoys being the hub of communication between drivers, customers, and internal teams.

Day to day, you will juggle a constantly shifting schedule, fielding calls from drivers, tracking loads in real time, and troubleshooting delays before they become bigger problems. People who thrive in this role are calm under pressure, naturally organized, and energized by solving logistics puzzles on the fly while keeping everyone informed.

COMPENSATION

The salary range for this role is $62,000 - $88,000 per year, based on experience and qualifications.
