Job summary

Packaging Corporation of America is seeking a Load Planner to coordinate trucking operations, provide customer service, handle inquiries, manage rates, and preplan trucks and drivers to keep freight flowing smoothly.

The role requires 1+ year in transportation, knowledge of trucking regulations, and proficiency with Excel, Word, and Outlook. TMW dispatch system and Omnitracs experience are preferred. PCA offers competitive benefits and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience in transportation.
• Knowledge of trucking laws, safety regulations, and general trucking basics.
• Bachelor’s degree related to transportation or business application is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manages designated customer account and their revenue base while coordinating traffic flows, freight allocations, quoting of rates and delivery/pick-up schedules.
• Responsible for accuracy of electronic order entry, effective communication with drivers, and conflict resolution.
• Coordinates with other departments to enhance customer satisfaction.
• Generate and communicate freight rates and assist load planners/departments/management as needed.
