Job summary

Sunset Woods Senior Living in Wisconsin is seeking a Wellness Coordinator to lead our wellness team and promote resident health and safety. You will supervise Wellness staff, provide direct care as needed, and work with the Wellness Director to implement community policies and programs.

The role requires current licensure or certification as required by state regulations, CPR certification, and at least one year of experience in assisted living or health care, with prior supervisory experience

Qualifications

• Current license/certification as required by regulatory bodies.
• Minimum of one year experience in assisted living or health care.
• Prior supervisory experience in health care environment strongly preferred.
• Current CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Provides hands-on supervision of Wellness staff to ensure quality resident care.
• Provides direct care services to residents as needed.
• Supports community policies and programs with Wellness Director.
• Engages in ongoing personal development in leadership and management skills.
• Assumes community management responsibilities as assigned by Wellness Director/Executive Director.
• Maintains knowledge of current assisted living regulations and ensures compliance.
• Protects resident and staff safety by recognizing and reporting risks.
• Assures infection control guidelines are met and surveillance procedures followed.
• Participates in staff meetings and continuing education in-services.
• Maintains required licenses/certifications.
• Participates in recruitment, hiring, training, and coaching of Wellness staff.
• Ensures medication training and monitoring meet regulatory requirements.
