Job summary

Life Enriching Communities is seeking a Sous Chef to lead the kitchen at Twin Lakes, Montgomery, OH, coordinating dining operations and mentoring the team to deliver high-quality meals for residents.

The ideal candidate has Culinary Arts training, Serv Safe Certification, and at least 3 years of supervisory experience in healthcare or senior living settings, with a focus on safety, service, and patient care.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma and Culinary Arts training; ACF certification preferred.
• Serv Safe Certification is required.
• Minimum of 3 years supervisory experience in a continuing care retirement community, hospital, hotel, restaurant, or similar facility.
• Must possess a customer service background and orientation.
• HACCP training preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee kitchen operations in the absence of the Director of Dining Services and Executive Chef.
• Prepares or directs preparation of food served using established production procedures and recipes.
• Determines amount and type of food and supplies required using production systems; ensures supplies are available.
• Follows HACCP protocols, sanitation standards, and health requirements; maintains logs.
• Plans production to coordinate with meal serving hours while preserving quality and presentation.
