Job summary

Life Enriching Communities is hiring a dedicated Sous Chef for Concord Reserve in Westlake, OH. This full-time role supports dining services and leads kitchen operations for residents, ensuring timely, high-quality meals.

Ideal candidates have a culinary background with ServSafe certification and at least 3 years of supervisory experience in senior living or related facilities, with strong customer service orientation and leadership skills.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma and Culinary Arts training; ACF certification preferred.
• Serv Safe Certification is required.
• Minimum 3 years supervisory experience in a senior living, hospital, hotel, or similar facility.

Responsibilities

• Oversees efficient kitchen operation in absence of Dining Services Director and Executive Chef.
• Prepares or directs food production using established procedures and recipes.
• Ensures availability of supplies and proper food handling; sets up steam table and serves meals.
• Monitors quality, sanitation, logs, and daily hygiene; HACCP compliance.
• Plans production to align with meal serving hours; maintains a clean work area.
• Reports equipment needs and ensures correct food portions and temperature checks.
