Job summary

Tradition Senior Living seeks a compassionate Social Activities Assistant to support luxury senior living communities. The role focuses on executing a balanced calendar of social programs, encouraging resident participation, and coordinating monthly communications.

You will work Tuesday through Thursday 9:00 am–5:30 pm, assisting the Social Program Director, managing program setup and follow-up, and building positive relations with residents and families.

Qualifications

• Minimum of one year of event planning, hospitality or senior living experience.
• Knowledge of local community resources, vendors and coverage for specific areas of cultural guild.
• Energetic demeanor with a caring, compassionate attitude.
• Ability to read, write and communicate in English.
• Ability to direct, supervise and coordinate the work of others and motivate for positive performance.
• Sound organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to utilize the computer and related software programs.
• Ability to work schedules as warranted by activities, events and transportation needs.
• Get acquainted with every resident and build resident relations.
• Assist in completing resident interest survey to plan programs.

Responsibilities

• Operations: Assist in creating and maintaining a balanced calendar of social programs and resident interests.
• Programming: Ensure programs occur timely and as scheduled per the calendar.
• Resident Focus: Utilize an energetic approach to encourage resident participation.
• Assist Social Program Director in preparing and distributing monthly resident newsletter.
• Promote positive resident and guest relations and communication.
• Maintain resident participation and interest records.
