Job summary

Legacy Senior Living is seeking an Activities Assistant to plan and implement programs that enhance residents’ physical, social, and spiritual well-being. You will support the Life Enrichment Director, organize daily activities, and help build meaningful relationships within the community.

You will collaborate with staff, volunteers, and families to ensure inclusive programming, safety, and compliance while maintaining engaging calendars and striving to improve resident experiences daily.

Qualifications

• Requires planning, organizing, and leading activities for seniors.
• Must be able to engage residents with diverse interests and abilities.
• Strong communication and teamwork with staff, volunteers, and family members.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, and direct activities that promote physical, emotional, social, and spiritual well-being.
• Coordinate daily group and individual activities, events, and outings.
• Lead activities with enthusiasm and ensure safety and inclusion for all abilities.
• Maintain monthly calendars and document resident participation and preferences.
• Recruit, train, and supervise volunteers to support programs.
• Support resident councils and collaborate with the Life Enrichment Director.
