Job summary

Savant Senior Living in Los Angeles is seeking an Activities Assistant to plan and facilitate engaging programs for residents within our assisted living community.

You will work with the Activities Director to create monthly calendars, run diverse activities, escort residents, and help with decor and outings while upholding safety and infection-control standards. Flexibility for weekends/evenings is valued.

Qualifications

• At least 18 years of age and able to obtain health screening, TB clearance, and criminal record clearance.
• High school diploma or equivalent; certifications in recreation or therapeutic recreation are a plus.
• Previous experience in a similar role, preferably in an assisted living or senior care setting.

Responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate a diverse range of activities and programs tailored to residents’ needs and interests.
• Engage residents in recreational, social, cultural, and educational activities to foster social connection and enjoyment.
• Develop monthly activity calendars with the Activities Director and ensure a variety of participation options.
• Set up activity areas, gather supplies, and organize materials for each activity.
• Escort residents to and from activities and assist during events while ensuring safety and engagement.
• Maintain records of resident participation and provide feedback on preferences and engagement.
• Decorate common areas for seasonal events and support community outings and off-site activities.
• Adhere to safety and infection control protocols.
