Rydal Park in Jenkintown, PA is seeking a full-time Recreational Therapy Manager to lead recreation therapy and life enrichment for skilled nursing, personal care, and short-term rehabilitation residents.

You will oversee assessment, planning, implementation, documentation, and evaluation of individual and group programs to support residents’ physical, cognitive, emotional, social, and psychosocial well-being.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in recreation therapy, therapeutic recreation, or a related field meeting the educational requirements for the CTRS credential.
• Current Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist certification through NCTRC.
• Five years of experience providing recreation therapy, therapeutic activities, or life enrichment services in senior living, healthcare, rehabilitation, or related environment.
• Three years of supervisory or management experience, including scheduling, work direction, employee development, and performance management.

Responsabilités

• Leads development, implementation, and evaluation of recreation therapy and life enrichment services for residents.
• Completes or oversees resident assessments, develops interventions and care-plan recommendations, participates in interdisciplinary care conferences, documents participation and outcomes.
• Plans and oversees individual and group programs, special events, outings, and adapted activities to support well-being.
• Provides day-to-day leadership to assigned team members, including scheduling, payroll review, training, coaching, and performance evaluation.

Formation

Bachelor’s degree in recreation therapy

Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist (CTRS)

Five years experience in recreation therapy or life enrichment

Three years supervisory/management experience
