Job summary

Rydal Park - a HumanGood community is seeking an experienced Activity Coordinator to plan, implement, and monitor wellness and recreation programs for residents. You will promote engagement and socialization while ensuring life enrichment activities comply with regulations.

The role involves coordinating a monthly calendar, guiding staff and volunteers, and enhancing residents’ quality of life. Under supervision, you’ll lead programs such as entertainment, educational events, arts and crafts,

Qualifications

• Associate degree with emphasis in recreation/health education or related field; college coursework in social work/gerontology/psychology/recreation therapy or related field; Bachelor's degree preferred.
• 1–2 years of experience, preferably in a geriatric setting; or equivalent training and experience.
• Two+ years of direct programming experience with older adults.
• State certification for Activities Leader required for Skilled Nursing; CTRS preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan, implement and monitor wellness and recreation programs for residents.
• Provide programs and events to encourage engagement and socialization.
• Ensure life enrichment programs meet local, state and federal regulations.
• Plan and coordinate a monthly activities calendar and in-room programs for bedfast residents.
• Supervise Activity Assistants and volunteers; recruit/train volunteers as needed.
• Coordinate recruitment, training and management of the volunteer program.
