Job summary

Mt. Pleasant House is seeking a dedicated Personal Care Assistant (PCA) to provide direct care for residents and support daily living activities in a safe, nurturing environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Completion of state-approved PCA, CNA, or caregiver training program preferred.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in personal care, senior living, or healthcare preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification preferred.
• Must pass a background check and drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with ADLs, including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility.
• Support residents with meal preparation, feeding assistance, and hydration as needed.
• Observe changes in residents' health and report to nursing staff; assist with medication reminders.
• Foster positive relationships with residents through companionship and meaningful interactions; promote engagement and well-being.
• Ensure living areas are clean, organized, and safe; follow infection control protocols and safety regulations.
