Job summary

Snow Hill Memory Care is seeking a caring Personal Care Assistant (PCA) to support residents with daily living activities and ensure a safe, compassionate environment. The role emphasizes empathy, attention to detail, and promoting dignity and independence.

Responsibilities include ADL assistance, health monitoring, and fostering meaningful engagement. Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED and PCA/CNA training preferred; prior healthcare experience is valued.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required or preferred.
• Completion of a state-approved PCA/CNA or caregiver training program preferred.
• 1 year of experience in personal care, senior living, or healthcare preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct care and assist with ADLs including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility.
• Monitor residents’ health, report changes to nursing staff, and remind about medications.
• Engage residents through companionship and participation in activities to promote well-being.
• Maintain safe, clean living areas and follow infection control protocols; respond to emergencies as needed.
