Job summary

HAND Senior Living in Las Vegas, NV is seeking compassionate aides to provide comprehensive resident care. You will support daily living activities, assist with medications, and help maintain safety, dignity, and respect for residents in a gated senior living community.

Responsibilities include ADL assistance, medication handling, infection control, and coordination with care teams to ensure high-quality care for residents.

Qualifications

• Must be eighteen (18) years of age or older and have a High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Must have current First Aid and/or CPR Training or be able to obtain within thirty (30) days of employment.
• Must possess valid Medication Technician certification, or have the ability to obtain certification within 90 of employment.
• Minimum of one (1) year experience providing care to seniors.
• Certified Nursing Assistant or Residential Assistant Training preferred.
• Must have reliable transportation.
• Must be able to obtain a Sheriffs Work Card.

Responsibilities

• Pass medications as prescribed by the resident’s physician and ensure medications are taken.
• Audit medication cart for expired meds and organize for next shift.
• Count narcotic medication with outgoing and incoming shifts and report.
• Respond to resident pendants and call lights promptly.
• Assist residents with ADL such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility.
• Demonstrate knowledge of geriatric conditions and pharmacology; maintain safety and infection control.
• Attend required in-service training pertaining to resident care and safety.
• Communicate effectively with residents, staff, and families with courtesy and respect.
