Job summary

Sunrise Senior Living is seeking a Medication Aide/Med Tech in the Springfield area to ensure residents receive medications and treatments safely, accurately, and with dignity. This role focuses on following physician orders, maintaining detailed MAR/TAR records, and observing residents for responses to medications.

The ideal candidate has a High School Diploma or GED, CPR/First Aid certification, and strong documentation skills.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• CPR and First Aid certification.
• Strong documentation and communication skills.
• Senior care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications and treatments per physician orders.
• Follow the Six Rights of Medication Administration.
• Document in MAR/TAR accurately and in real time.
• Observe residents during and after medication passes; monitor symptoms and administer medications as ordered for relief.
• Report refusals or concerns promptly.
• Complete narcotic counts per policy.
• Maintain clean, organized medication carts and rooms.
• Follow infection control and safety standards.
